ISI Dublin prides itself on working closely with welcoming and friendly host families in the Greater Dublin area for 18 years! We are interested in building lasting relationships with new host families, promoting international language & cultural exchanges for ISI students, and providing a rewarding homestay experience to all parties involved. Hosting international students is a rewarding and flexible way to earn an extra income from the comfort of your own home, and many families working with ISI remain friends with their students long after their visit has come to an end. ISI offer host family accommodation to students all year round, and provide on-time monthly payments to our host families alongside a supportive accommodation team who are available to answer any of your questions or offer experienced advice.

Stages in Becoming an ISI Host Family

As mentioned above, ISI offers the highest quality educational & cultural experience to our students – and the homestay is a core part of this offering. Before welcoming you to the ISI family, we must ensure that you, as a host family, meet both the requirements of host families as advised by ACELS (Advisory Council for English Language Schools) and the AGPI (Association of Guardianship Providers Ireland).

This process occurs over several stages, outlined below:

1. Complete the application form.
2. The application form will be evaluated and a family profile will be created in our database, to include family members, pets, hobbies, room types etc.
3. Following a successful evaluation, the accommodation team will begin the Garda vetting process.
4. A home visit will be arranged to meet the new family and view the room the students will be staying in.
5. Families hosting students under 18, will familiarise themselves with our Child Safeguarding Policy.
